Sacred Space is a ministry of the Southern Alameda Deanery of the Episcopal Church in the Diocese of California, of which St. Bartholomew’s is a part.  Every Sunday afternoon, clergy and lay ministers from one of the Deanery’s churches offer an outdoor worship service, attended primarily by local residents in need of spiritual and material comforts, at Cannery Park in Hayward, CA, followed by the distribution of bag lunches and goods such as socks and blankets.  St. Bart’s leads this ministry every other month, and members frequently attend and support it.  All are welcome.
