Capital Campaign

Objectives

Church Roof [Completed]: We need to either repair or replace the church roof. Last winter we had a number of leaks in the roof and many of you will remember negotiating around strategically placed pails during a rainy Sunday morning. At the same time, we are planning to explore the installation of solar panels.
Landscaping & Grounds: There are a number of landscaping projects planned. The major goal is an overhaul of our irrigation system to make it more efficient and minimize water wastage. We would also like to add to and replace many of the shrubs around the grounds.; The interior patio adjacent to the Parish Hall and Lounge will be cleaned up and re-layed with new ground cover to allow us to bring it back into regular use as an outdoor meeting area.
Electrical and Lighting upgrade: We have recently completed upgrading the electrics inside the church, installing new circuits and switching. The kitchen electrics have also been upgraded. The next task is to upgrade the lighting in the Parish Hall.

Our new Capital Campaign was launched August 29, 2010. Fundraising is planned for a 3 year duration, with projects being launched as soon as we have sufficient funding commitments.

Our first project was completed June 10, 2011 with the installation of a new roof on our Church building. This project was paid for in full using cash raised by the Capital Campaign, without the need to resort to any loans.

Donations can also be submitted online using PayPal's secure payment service. Click the Donate button and you will be taken to St. Bart's secure donation site hosted by PayPal. Please make sure that any donation you make to the Capital Campaign is designated "Capital Campaign" by using the "Donation to be used for:" link on the PayPal Donation verification page. Undesignated donations will be applied to the General Operating Fund.

Progress

We are using a model of the church roof to show progress towards meeting our fund-raising goal. Check out the model in the church Narthex every Sunday morning to see how we are progressing.

The graphic below operates the same way. A plan view of the roof of our circular church shows 16 roofing panels surrounding a circular core. For each $10,000 raised, the graphic will show another section of the roof being completed.
